"Pokrova Bohorodytsi"  [The Intercession of the Mother of God]. Icon on glass by the contemporary artist Halyna Kuz'menko-Kuznietsova.
The iconography, depicting the "Pokrova," has a long tradition that begins in the Middle Ages.  It manifets itself in formal church icons, as well as folk and naive art.
