Do I bring my laptop or a USB-port memory stick for powerpoint presentations?
We prefer USB-port memory sticks, but we can accommodate any standard
format. If you are planning to plug in your laptop, please remember to
bring your own VGA and audio cables.

A cheque for this amount can be made out to the University of Alberta and mailed along with your registration form. How do I get from the Edmonton International Airport to my hotel and/or the University of Alberta?
You can take the Sky Shuttle bus service from the airport to your hotel (the shuttle stops at most major hotels, including Campus Towers, which is right on the University of Alberta Campus). You can find out more about the Sky Shuttle on our website under 'Resources' (City of Edmonton; Edmonton Airport Sky Shuttle).
Are you publishing conference proceedings? How can I get my conference paper included?
We are planning two forms of publication. We will publish the conference papers of all interested presenters on our permanent, open-access conference proceedings website. If you would like your paper to be included in this on-line venue, please bring both a hard copy and an electronic version to the conference. You do not need to submit your paper in advance. Please use an accepted scholarly format (MLA is preferred) for your paper.
We will also publish an edited collection of full-length scholarly essays stemming from the conference. From the conference papers submitted for on-line publication, the editors will choose approximately 12-14 papers to be worked up into full-length scholarly articles. The selection process will be based on the quality of submissions, as well as their thematic continuity with other selected papers. If your paper is selected, we will contact you to discuss the publication process and details.
How long should my conference presentation be?
Each panel has three presenters, each of whom will have twenty minutes to deliver their conference paper. Sessions will run for one and a half hours (90 minutes), with one hour (60 minutes) for all three presentations and a half-hour (30 minutes) remaining for questions from the audience. Please make sure to time your presentation in advance so that it fits within these guidelines.
