Dr. Andy Knight is Professor of International Relations in the Department of Political Science at the University of Alberta. He is past Vice Chair of the Academic Council on the UN System and currently editor of Global Governance Journal. His recent books include: Adapting the United Nations to a Post Modern World: Lessons Learned, A Changing United Nations: Multilateral Evolution and the Quest for Global Governance, and Building Sustainable Peace (with Tom Keating). Professor Knight was recently awarded a major three-year research grant by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRCC) to study “Children and Armed Conflict”.
