Executive (2011-2012)
AGAS is the official body that represents all graduate students within the Department of Anthropology. Every graduate student automatically becomes a member when they begin their graduate program and is then eligible to hold an executive position. The executive positions are voted for at the beginning of each school year and handle various responsibilities.
AGAS is a registered student group and is the means by which anthropology graduates can apply for funding from the university for special events, such as the annual graduate conference or the Frucht lecture series. AGAS organizes and sponsors various social and professional events throughout the year, both for graduate students and for the department as a whole.
AGAS is also one of the mediums through which conflicts or concerns between graduate students and other members of the Department of Anthropology can be addressed and resolved.
